Frederic BERNARD dedicated his doctoral dissertation to the relationship between the rule of law and the fight against terrorism (“L’Etat de droit face au terrorisme”, Geneva 2010; in French). He has since published several articles on the subject, in particular in the review Terrorism and Political Violence. In 2010, he conducted research as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, on the topic of judicial review and the constitutional role of supreme courts (“Constitutional Review, Individual Rights, and the Transparency Requirement,” 4 Regent Journal of Law and Public Policy (2012) 141-180. He is senior lecturer at the University of Geneva and admitted to the Geneva Bar.
