Mr. Geoffrey Mousa Bala-Gaye, MEIG Graduate 2021-2022, The Gambia
My first few months in the international city of diplomacy, at the University of #Geneva, have proven to be a conducive environment. It has given me the opportunity to learn about diverse cultures, countries and individual experiences. I am in a class consisting of 17 different nationalities, with diverse educational backgrounds and experiences.
The interactive sessions with lecturers and experts from reputable institutions such as the United Nations, European Union and Permanent Missions, sharing their rich experiences, have been interesting, enlightening and thought-provoking. The practical sessions in negotiation skills and public speaking have truly been rewarding for me. I have gained a lot of knowledge and skills within a short period of time.
Furthermore, visits to the United Nations have given me an actual experience of the working environment and the proceedings of the Human Rights Council sessions, which have been inspiring. I believe this program is well-articulated and has the potential to equip me with the essential knowledge, skills and network to ultimately advance my career ambitions.
