As a young professional and a Diplomat coming from Albania, I found this Programme to be a unique learning experience and an important bridge between my academic background and professional career. Whereas my first Master’s degree in Law in Belgium focused mainly on the normative framework of International and European law, MEIG Programme introduced me to the institutional and governance aspects of European and International policies constituting a great opportunity to further broaden my horizons as well as build on my ambition. The appealing part of the Programme is the combination of theory and practice introducing the participants with the challenges of today’s globalized world and allowing to have a closer look to the decision-making processes at the international level through various study visits in UN and EU institutions. Throughout this academic year I had the chance to broaden my professional network by interacting with other career diplomats and young professionals from all over the world and creating special links with UN family in Geneva. This Programme is the perfect fit for the ‘International Geneva’ therefore I highly recommend it to future generations sharing the same aspirations.
