open and interactive discussions take place

Ms. Rina Permatasari, MEIG Graduate 2024-2025, Indonesia

The MEIG Programme has been an invaluable experience, equipping me with profound knowledge in European affairs, particularly regarding the European Union, as well as multilateralism and its broader implications for global affairs. This programme has significantly enriched my understanding of the interconnected and evolving nature of global affairs, allowing me to grasp their complexities and challenges from a comprehensive perspective.

Moreover, studying in Geneva, the heart of UN multilateralism in Europe, has provided me with exceptional opportunities to attend sessions firsthand and establish meaningful professional connections for the future. The strategic location of the programme has enabled me to engage directly with international organizations, further enhancing my academic and professional growth as a diplomat in Indonesia.

I greatly appreciate the MEIG Programme’s holistic approach, which seamlessly integrates theoretical foundations with practical applications. These two aspects are indispensable to one another, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience. Furthermore, I value the diversity of lecturers, who come from both academic and professional backgrounds, and the open and interactive discussions that take place in classes. These interactions give me perspective from the best side of both worlds.

By integrating the perspectives, knowledge, experiences, and networks I have gained through the MEIG Programme, I am confident that I now possess a deeper understanding and a broader vision to contribute to strengthening relations between Indonesia and Europe in my work.
