it is never too late to believe in your dreams
Ms. Alejandra Rincon Carrillo, MEIG Graduate 2024-2025, Switzerland
With work experience in multinational corporations in different countries, I have been leading international teams to implement compliant and sustainable operations through digital transformation anchored in the rule of law in domains of finance, legal, compliance, sustainability, Groups Risks and Audit. Having held leadership positions in the private sector since 2008, I’ve decided it was time to transform my career by embracing a holistic approach that bridges private and public sector opportunities.
During the MEIG Programme, I had the privilege of attending lectures at the United Nations and the European Union, delivered by officials from these organizations and academics from the University of Geneva. This experience provided transformative insights into the complexities of the multilateral landscape, particularly in human rights, peace and security, health, trade, and climate, while also developing practical diplomatic skills. The diverse backgrounds of my colleagues—diplomats, lawyers, and economists from various countries—fostered an enriching exchange of regional challenges, highlighting both commonalities and specificities. This dynamic environment created a unique opportunity for multicultural learning and collaboration.
The journey felt like assembling a puzzle, with each module serving as a piece that gradually revealed the bigger picture. Now, having seen that picture, I can confidently say that it is never too late to believe in your dreams and create meaningful change by offering your deepest contribution to the world. The MEIG Programme has been a key enabler in this transformation.
