combining work and school, though daunting, made me improve my time management
Ms. Roselyn Doe, MEIG Graduate 2024-2025, Ghana
The MEIG Programme is enriched with diverse learning opportunities – from the study of the nature, role and growth of the European Union and its institutions, the United Nations system and its institutions as well as an international platform where governance and diplomacy are at play.
My pursuit of the MEIG Programme has made me well-rounded in issues related to international governance, particularly in shaping my world view.
My experience with the lecturers of the MEIG programme also offered so many resources and materials to tap from.
The enormous support received from the programme coordinators enabled me to navigate what would have been a challenging situation and setback to my academic work/studies. Combining work and school, though daunting, made me improve my time management and maintain a work/life balance.
The programme further helped me develop critical thinking and offered insights into the history, processes, and outcomes of international interactions between governments, organizations, and individuals. The modules and assignments offered me opportunities to enhance my research methods and global perspective.
I also developed skills such as public speaking, confidence building and team building through group work. Working on assignments with fellow MEIG participants from diverse backgrounds offered me a rare opportunity to learn new approaches to problem-solving and consensus-building.
Also, the various interactive sessions which were organised by the MEIG team created the platform for me to interact with people from all walks of life – from academia to top diplomats. It was an experience that is truly enriching.
The MEIG Programme offers students the best experience in international studies and transformative leadership training as well as techniques of negotiation and mediation skills, particularly in multilateralism and conference diplomacy.
